Our story

We've always loved to travel.

Then someone in our family got sick, and travel got complicated. Not impossible — complicated. Suddenly there were medical treatment days that couldn't move, mornings that had to stay clear, and a real limit on how much walking was reasonable in a day.

We refused to stop going. So we planned around it.

That turned out to be harder than it sounds. It wasn't just booking flights. It was working out which days had to stay put, how much rest we'd need after a long one, what everyone could actually do together and what they couldn't, and how to still have the trip be fun rather than a logistics exercise.

We did it by hand. Spreadsheets, notes, a lot of back and forth. Seven of us in Hawaii, split across different energy levels. A trip to North Carolina built around a treatment schedule. It worked — but it took hours, and every trip meant starting over.

Eventually the obvious thought arrived: we can't be the only people doing this.

So we built Restway. It does the part that took us the longest — fitting everything around the things that can't move, protecting rest before anyone burns out, and giving you a plan that works for the whole group, not just the person who happens to be fittest.

What we won't do: pretend we know more than we do. We can't guarantee a place is step-free or that hours haven't changed. So every plan comes with a short list of things worth confirming before you go. We'd rather tell you the truth about that than have you find out at the door.

We're still travelers, still figuring it out. This is just the thing we wished existed.
